What’s good Violator famsquad. It’s your neighborhood music head again with something new and untapped. So I logged into my Twitter and had a few “hey @Olskool_IceGre check out my music/video” tweets along with notifications from a few new followers. As I checked to see who connected with the kid, I came across the name Party With The Wolves. With a name like that, I had to see this person, place or thing and find out what it’s all about. Turns out Party With The Wolves (known by the British government as Jack Thompson) is a singer from London with a new single called Runaway. Funny how a unique name turned into a single review right? Hilarious! The song was originally written by his music idol, fellow British singer/songwriter Sam Smith who is best known for his feature on Disclosure’s breakthrough hit single Latch (2012). Runaway has all of the musicality and UK cool that made classic songs by Tears For Fears, Human League and Simply Red remain a favorite on commercial radio to this day. I tried to find the original version but couldn’t, so I’ll assume (for now) it was written for PWTW. Runaway is a very melodic and soulful piano driven Pop song that sounds like a perfect fit for a “coming of age” movie soundtrack. Party With The Wolves has a great voice with lots of control and a tone that’s so inviting it begs you to hear more. It’s clear this guy has put in his hours of vocal training or practice because his abilities sound effortless, relaxed and confident. I advise you keep your eyes and ears on this guy because I’m sure he’ll be invading the U.S very soon. To connect with Party With The Wolves visit his Facebook and Twitter pages.
